The Book Shoppe Inc. is a place for people to come in, browse, purchase and talk books in a relaxed atmosphere. We offer a personalized service in a well-organized venue. You can shop in store and if we don't have what you're looking for we can order practically any new or used book. Most of our stock is used books, but we also have new books, $0.99 cards, Leanin' Tree cards, postcards, and bookmarks.
We also offer a book search service for those hard to find titles, preorders for upcoming releases at an additional discount, special discounts for school and classroom sets, and gift certificates. Most importantly, we offer a place to recycle unneeded books for the benefit of a discount on future books.
The Book Shoppe Inc. opened on July 15, 2008. Books were a constant companion since the owner was a child, starting a used book store was quite natural. The Book Shoppe Inc. was in planning for ten years, including the two years it took to find the right spot. Boone was perfect. It is a small town, has a good library, a viable downtown, a county seat, a hospital and, of course, it had the right building.
